Good Stuff = Better Health
& Better Communities

For many Americans — particularly those living in low income neighborhoods, communities of color, and rural areas — small grocery stores that once helped to feed the community have been closed and replaced by convenience stores, and liquor stores that primarily sell ultra processed junk and snack foods.

The Sunshine for All® Cities program is creating more access to healthy, nutritious “Good Stuff” foods in underserved and disadvantaged areas in each Sunshine City.

Good Stuff
Kiosks

A key piece of the Sunshine for All® Cities program is the creation, distribution and installation of free-standing food kiosks at the Boys & Girls Clubs to help provide access to healthy food options at a reasonable cost to its member families.

The custom designed kiosk features adjustable shelving and a refrigeration unit that will accommodate a wide variety of shelf stable fruits, vegetables, whole grains, rice, select protein options  and fresh fruits and vegetables at each Club location.

Farm Fresh
Goodness

The Dole® Sunshine Company views having access to healthy food as a human right, not a privilege and has pledged to improve access for 1 billion people by 2025.

The Sunshine for All® Cities program is helping to fulfill this promise in partnership with the Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation by hosting Farmers Markets through our Sunshine for All®
Cities program.

Each Club is inviting local farmers to provide seasonal fruits and vegetables for sale to the Club families and community on designated days.

As an added incentive for kids and families to come out and shop at the Farmers Markets local Smoothie King franchises are providing FREE fruit smoothies for everyone.  The free smoothie distribution is partially funded by the Dole® Sunshine Company.
